I'm giving them the page number first, followed by the name a the top of the worksheet if in the 360 folder - this means that we can refer to them ourselves from the folder.
For example the first sheet from P2.10 is called "Doing Work" and is from page 306 so I have called it
306 - Doing Work
This gives each page a unique reference number as well and distinguishes from resources that come from 360 and elsewhere.

If we are using the Edexcel worksheets, shouldn't we be using their own naming convention? i.e. P1a9.5c is the 3rd worksheet for topic 5 of unit 9 in Physics.
We could ignore the unit name, since it is already in the course name, and just name the sheets 5c, etc.
I tend to prefer students building up their own text rather than making too many references to book pages...
I didn't want to use the Edexcel naming convention for a few reasons.
Firstly I have this strange notion that I can evade detection by the authorities for putting copyrighted material on the web.
Secondly I am still stuck in the past in some way and I still refer to the folder all the time "in the real" so I sort of need the page references. This is because year 11 resources are only in PDF form so they take a while to load on my computer.
Also further to your quote Mighty Ribas, I do believe that the unit number is also included in the location of the file if we put them in where they are to be used anyway (i.e. if I upload P1a9.5c the chances are I'll be uploading it to the P1 category, 9.5 chapter folder and topic 5 anyway, so adding this sort of nomenclature doesn't add any further information.

Oh and you can also rename the pages when you copy them to your course.
Copying to courses is dead simple just go into your course and click "import" in the side, then choose the course you want to import from and the specific resource.
So easy my gran could probably do it.
Oh yeah and you can rename the resource once it's copied too...
